TCC, The Connoisseur Concerto, Bugis Junction

I mentioned before that TCC has quickly become a worthy competitor in the coffee-cafe-bistro industry. Not only are their desserts and coffee concoctions yummy and unique, their food is really quite something too. Relatively value-for-money, with quality food and fair portions. Good, though not Michelin-star food, but the price points are the selling point.

We started off with the Shrooms Bite ($10.50) sauteed creamy mushroom ragout with sweet corn kernels filled in a hollowed flaky puff pastry. This is one of their signature bestseller dishes, and it's easy to see why. It's delicious.


The Oven-Baked Chicken Thigh ($18.90) was juicy and succulent, marinated through with herbs and spices and complemented with a fragrant wholegrain mustard sauce served alongside sauteed vegetables tossed in Italian herbs for a simple flavour.


The Ocean Sur'fin ($19.80) was a moist and flaky dory fish fillet dressed with sweet onions and a dollop of zesty salsa, served with crunchy baby asparagus and sauteed potatoes.
